Local band "Stonewood" kicked off tonights show, As my knowledge of them was zero, I wondered quite what to expect. From the opening power cords and the great vocals of their lead singer and guitarist it very soon became obvious this 4 piece band(twin lead guitars, bass and drums) were a cracking, tight, powerful full on rock band. The smell of leather jackets on certain members of the crowd mixed with loud metal rock songs, reminded me of Cromer Links way back, the "Mecca" for that type of scene. What a great suprise Stonewood were - a name to remember for sure and a band I'm sure to see again, hopefully back at this venue. Maybe as the main act, or again as support for a top name - whatever, Kick out the Jams fellow rockers and catch this band if you see them being advertised as they are yet another great, local live act.
