Wooden Sailing Boats for Hire - for Boat Race Nights
We have 6 beautiful, colourful, handcrafted wooden sailing boats which can be hired for a boat race evening. The sailing boats are attached to lengths of cord. The sailors sit on chairs at one end of the hall with the sailing boats at the other. The sailors then wind the rope around a wooden bobbin to move then along. Bets are placed before the race begins and those that backed the winning boat then claim their winnings. A fun night for all the family.

Harbour Rooms Sub-branch of Wells Area Community Bank
Open on Mondays and Fridays 10am - 2pm.
Via Norfolk Credit Union, Wells Community Bank can help you with a range of saving and borrowing services. As well as standard savings accounts and a small loans facility there is a special lock-in-account to help members save for Christmas holidays or special occasions. You lock the money away until just before the day when it is needed.
The Sub-branch is able to offer a support service to answer queries, fill in forms, copy personal documents as ID such as passports. Cash deposits can be made using the PayPoint card issued to each member. The PayPoint card may be used at any Post Office or any shop with PayPoint facilities. The swipe card contains a member's personal account details to enable cash to be directed to their account. The money saved in the community is used in the community for loans and nothing is lost to outside rremote shareholders. Any bprofits made are returned to the members in the community as a dividend.
Business Courses
Following the great response we had to our Business Marketing course, funded and taught through Norfolk Adult Education. We would like to invite anyone interested in doing a course in Business Finance and Book Keeping to get in touch and register their interest.

Community Car Share Club
The Harbour Rooms have set up a community car share club and have purchased a Vauxhall Corsa Eco. The environmentally clean, green car is parked in the Harbour Rooms car park and will enable community members to get the benefits of car use without the stresses of ownership.
If you wish to use the car, all you need to do is call in at the Harbour Rooms or telephone Bernadette on 01263 740783 for details on how to register. Once registered, you simply call to book, drive away and pay for the mileage used.
ONLY 30p PER MILE
We think this is a fabulous facility for the community and hope you all agree. By using the community car rather than investing in a car yourself you could on average save £1,000 per year and cut down on your CO2 emissions for transport by about 30%.
Mobile Library
The mobile library sets up in the Harbour Room car park every three weeks on the below dates.
Why not call in and borrow a book or two and stop and have a snack while you are there.
30 July, 20 August, 10 September, 1 October, 22 October, 12 November,3 December
Barter and 'At Your Service' Boards
If you have an item you wish to sell or exchange or an item that you are in need of, then please display your requirements on our Barter Board in the foyer. We encourage businesses to advertise by displaying their business card on the ‘At Your Service Board’.
Adult Education Courses
Please follow the link below to complete our on line questionnaire. We would like to hold adult education classes at the Harbour Room but the Council need guidance to know what the community is interested in. Thank you for your input.
